This David Lynchian mystery is written and directed by overachieving 18 year old George Baron, who also stars in the film as Dalton, a young detective following in the footsteps of his father (Twin Peaks actor Ray Wise) by investigating the death of a husband (Manny Liotta) by his pie-baking wife Sophie (Nikko Austen Smith). The case may seem cut and dry to Dalton and his partner Lilly (Olivia Scott Welch) at first, but it turns out to be anything but once they start really digging and encounter some interesting characters, such as Sophie’s twisted sister Norma (Danielle Bisutti), her servant Kiyo (Evee Bui), and a hynoptic local night club singer named Catherine (Viola Odette Harlow). Keep your eyes peeled from when sultry siren Viola steps into a bathtub - her right breast makes a surprise appearance when it pops out of her top as she’s leaning over, meaning The Blue Rose might just leave you with a case of blue balls!
