Daisy Edgar-Jones is a star. The lady from London is one of our favorite working actresses out of the UK and she cemented herself as such in 2020 when she had an extremely naked role. It turns out that Daisy wants to revisit that role which likely means that she wants to revisit going nude. What is she talking about? Let's find out!
We all fell in love with British babe Daisy Edgar-Jones when she starred as Marianne in the BBC adaptation of the Sally Rooney novel Normal People. The series which streamed on Hulu introduced us to its stars Daisy and Irish actor Paul Mescal. This series made those two stars - especially Paul who, if you haven't noticed, is everywhere at the moment and about to star in the new Gladiator movie. That'll be awesome, but we aren't here for him. We are here for the star of the fairer sex, Daisy.
Daisy recently talked again about the series to BBC News in which she went on about how much she loved doing that project. "I love those characters. It would be wonderful to explore them again. If [Rooney] is up for writing a new story, who knows...keeping it open. Always open." So she's open to a sequel? I think that means that the young lady is also open to more nudity.
Daisy did a lot of nudity in the series. The super sexy series was about two young people who have been friends with benefits for years. She and Paul were mates at Trinity College who banged one another. They move on from uni, but they never move on from one another. The two continue to come in and out of each other's lives. They send cheeky nudes, they caress each other's bare bodies, and they go nude with other people in the series. The show proves just how normal is it for Normal People to go nude.
Daisy undresses quite a bit in the series for her loverboy, but she does even more than that. As I mentioned, she goes nude for other people in the series as well. At one point, she does a BDSM photoshoot that features Daisy's wrists tied as she sits topless with black tights on.
While 2020's Normal People was her breakthrough role, we enjoyed seeing her show a little bit of skin in the 2022 films Where the Crawdads Sing and Fresh. Sadly, she didn't show enough flesh in either of those projects. She stuck to bare shoulders and collarbones. We wanted her to do more, but she didn't go the distance.
So is she only willing to go nude in Normal People? If that is the case then let us get to that sequel pronto. Come on, Sally Rooney! Write another Normal People.
